In chapter three we introduce an exercise in which participants attempt to decide when fifteen minutes have passed, to help demonstrate the subjective and relative nature of time. Now a peer-reviewed study in the journal Brain and Behavior documents how time appears to pass about 9% slower for those exercising in a gym. Popular Mechanices summarizes the research here: https://www.popularmechanics.com/science/a64654408/time-moves-slower-for-humans/, and the article can be read/downloaded here: https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/brb3.3471.
