Political orientation can be predicted by brain activation, synchronization differences
Israeli researchers now report that they can measure your political orientation by measuring your brain waves. That might not sound too surprising, except that they have found these differences in brain wave measurements at very low levels of processing--for example, in the auditory cortex! We'd expect to find these differences more in the frontal lobe (and we do), but it's something of a surprise to find such correlations deeply embedded at search early stages of our thinking process--and in both hemispheres of the brain (i.e., language and music)!
