Every once in a while, new research comes along claiming that scientists have found something that moves "faster than the speed of light!" And then, a while later, an error in the research turned up or something that showed that, "nope, nothing yet discovered moves faster than the speed of light". What can move faster than the speed of light this time? Well, it turns out...nothing! But nothing this time refers to "dark points" within a single wavelenght of a polariton. Here's the article: https://www.popularmechanics.com/science/a70885429/darkness-faster-than-light/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=mgu_ga_pop_md_pmx_comm_org_us_18374722695&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=18374795511&gbraid=0AAAAADCyiSlTZs6Y6t2zN1Ejt4BtCI_wv&gclid=CjwKCAjw-dfOBhAjEiwAq0RwI0Dr7ppIx7IEoTMxPO42ZjGLemMZzHFk1Cujf6CPohdsceXnnI1bGxoCiSMQAvD_BwE, and here's the research published in Nature: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41586-026-10209-z.
